New This Summer: Teen Tuesdays

The Library may be closed, but teens 13 years of age and up are invited to join us 12pm-1:30pm on Tuesdays July 19th, July 26th and August 2ndNo registration required.Have some snacks, hang with your friends, play the Xbox, use the WIFI, enjoy the air conditioning PLUS these fun activities:July 19th: Mindful CraftingRelax and get creative!July 26th: Book DiscussionWe’ll talk about the suspenseful YA novel We Were Liars by e. lockhart, so make sure to request a copy or check out the ebook or audiobook via the LIBBY app!August 2nd: JournalingWe’ll provide you with a brand new journal and talk about great ways to fill it and express yourself.All library programs are FREE of charge.

Photography Contest

Have your photograph displayed at The Darwin R. Barker Library! 

Photographers can submit 1 photograph each on any topic appropriate for a public audience either in person with a physical photograph at the Library’s circulation desk or by email to barkerhistoricalmuseum@gmail.com by June 25th. There are two categories: adult and youth. Photographs will be on display in the Library from July 1st through July 31st, during which time community members can cast their ballot for their favorite image in each category.

Photographs with the most votes will be announced on July 31st, and the winner of each category will be featured in the Darwin R. Barker Museum’s newest exhibit Fredonia in Focus: The Development of Local Photography.
